Samantha decided to go to a place where there was a well-known event happening in their area. She packed her things quickly. She made sure that everything was in her bag including her complete art set. She immediately went to the said location where she could showcase and share her talent of painting with people. As she arrived at the area she noticed the messiness of the aftermath of their traditional dance.
Consequently, as Samantha was busy figuring out the area Michael went to the judges wherein he wasn’t able to submit his photo on time so the judges gave him a deduction for the said competition he was joining. So, Michael patiently waits for the result even though he knows he wouldn’t be able to grab the first prize anymore. The judges announced first the photo that placed 3rd, everybody clapped their hands as a sign of active participation and appreciation of the piece of art and science of photography. Next, to be announced was the photo that placed 2nd. At the same time, everybody showed their participation and appreciation. Whilst Michael didn’t recognize that it was his photo entry presented on the stage. His friend tried to get his attention:
“Hey, Michael I think that was your photo! You got 2nd place. Wow!! You are so amazing, dude!! Go get your prize it’s all yours.”
Michael unconsciously went to the stage with his very own camera. He didn’t expect to be part of the Top three and his own work would be part of it. When he already knew he wouldn’t make it to be the grand winner but still he won the 2nd place, it was truly a spectacular unexpected moment for him. After a few minutes, the judges declared the champion. Its photo was really so captivating. It surely deserved to won the first prize. Everybody was amazed at the winning piece of the declared Top three in the competition. Michael’s friend wanted to celebrate his achievement so, they went out to celebrate merrily. Whilst the people behind the competition publicize their winning pieces on their bulletin board. As the place became quiet and everything seemed to be silent Samantha just came onto their stage but she wasn’t able to catch what was happening, all she could see now are the chairs and the design found on the stage. She softly utters the words written on the stage. She said:
“Exposure, Contrast, and lighting be enlightened with the captured amazing photos? There might be an event here lately. I think I missed the whole show.”[sigh]
Samantha continued to check the area and she was absolutely taking her time wandering near the stage. She eventually noticed the three amazing photos that have been exhibited near the area. She proceeded to those displayed photos which are truly so fascinating. She continued to gaze in each photo but she suddenly stopped at this one photo that reminds her of a piece of heart. It was the photo of Michael wherein Samantha got hooked to. What turned her on in this photo was due to its caption it said:
“Be my Samantha.”
Samantha couldn’t hold herself from the big surprise of her life. She couldn’t believe everything to be happening at that time. She didn’t recognized her tears just fall down from her brownish blue eyes. She just kept on gazing at this photo. She placed her hands on the glass trying to feel the texture of this photo inside the glass. She was so speechless. She could feel her heart pumping slowly, she could hear every beat of her heart. Surely, that means she was still so alive and awake it was not a dream at all and she wasn’t dreaming. This was real.
All of a sudden Michael’s friend just got along the way and noticed these same photos been exposed in their bulletin board. He was gleefully saying:
“Woah! Look at these photos they are truly so charming. Isn’t it? Miss? The wait is okay? Everything’s fine here right?”
Samantha just nods two times then rubbed her eyes with her hand and looked straight at Michael’s friend saying:
“Yes, definitely these photos are truly attractive and indeed they are also so meaningful for me.”
Michael’s friend couldn’t hold himself by the charm also of Samantha. So, he lends his hand and offered to get to know her by introducing himself first:
“I see, by the way, I am Dominic and you are? May I know your name, Miss?”
When Samantha was about to open her mouth slowly and should utter softly her name and slowly getting her hand from her waist into the hand of Dominic when suddenly there’s a man called her attention.
“Excuse me Miss, is this your wallet. I found it there near the stage I was thinking maybe it’s yours because I saw you there lately.”
Samantha looked at the wallet if it’s truly her and figured out that was her wallet, so she replied with energy:
“Yes of course Sir, thank you so much it was truly a big help.”
She checked immediately if her important things are still in there, completely. Then she figured out her ticket for the next train to arrive and she directly checked her time and it was almost 3 o’clock in the afternoon and that was the last arrival for the train into her home. She quickly placed her wallet inside her bag and apologized to Dominic because she needs to go now. She said:
“I am so sorry Dominic but I need to go now. See you when I see you.”
Dominic just waved his hand to Samantha as she went away. His phone suddenly made a sound and it was Michael who sent him a message saying :
“Hey, dude! Dominic are you in the awarding area I received a piece of information that my photo had been exhibited I need to come and see it to myself.”
Dominic then replied:
“Yes, dude! Exactly I was here in the bulletin board and they truly showed it to the people your photos.”
Just in few minutes, Michael had arrived at the venue and immediately went to the displayed photos on the bulletin board. He was gazing at his photo while reading the caption in his mind:
“Be my Samantha.”
“He then said, I hope one day she would be able to see this, whenever she might come to visit in this area. I hope our hearts would make a way for us one day. May my love for her would make a way for her to be mine.”
After hearing all these words from Michael, Dominic tapped the shoulder of his friend and looked into his friend’s eyes with all hope and respect then they looked back together to the photo.
